eggzlot Posted November 16, 2018 Posted November 16, 2018 so not for my c4 set up. Brother in law is a general contractor and is having some issues with people using his dumpsters and 2 nights ago he had windows stolen off a job that were outside waiting to be installed. Wanted to know if there were any battery operated cameras that can be housed outside that can record to an SD card? Wifi is nice but when you are building a new house you may not have Wifi access. So really needs something that is a local solution. as the build is further along if there is wifi sure he could hook up and be able to remote in and view live. but for now, the basics, if he shows up in the morning and sees stuff missing, he can pop out the SD card and see what happened. Saw some options from Reolink - anyone have any feedback on their hardware or other options? Thoughts?
msgreenf Posted November 16, 2018 Posted November 16, 2018 I have one of the reolinks. They are nice Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
dcovach Posted November 16, 2018 Posted November 16, 2018 There is also a 4G version that will work with AT&T and TMobile in the US https://reolink.com/product/reolink-go/
eggzlot Posted November 16, 2018 Author Posted November 16, 2018 I've actually found this comparison between the Reolink and the Arlo - both have 4g connection. Arlo has an easier connection via Verizon but Reolink works on an ATT Sim card but has way better specs: http://asecurecam.com/reolink-go-vs-arlo-go-lte-enabled-security-cameras/
