ILoveControl
Hi all, I have one of those sh11ty digital timers as a breaker for my pool pump. Its busy dying on its last legs. Wanted to know what do ya all use to intergrate in c4. Would be nice if one could see the status and set the schedule in a navigator interface but not crucial. The non negotiable for me are to see if its on or off and set the schedule (most probably have to do it with the scheduler agent). Appreciate the advise. brantlmcdonald
add a pentair pool panel for extensive pool function control.... or, if you only want on/off & scheduling, you can connect a wireless C4 switch to a N/O contactor and set it up that way. Just a definite purpose (probably 30A) 2-pole contactor w/ 120v coil.
ILoveControl
Thank you busy checking it out now, one thing I cant see does it integrate with more features into c4 than using the C4 switch?

KWD
Hopefully you are running a variable speed pump. Large savings on power usage and it can run 24/7. The newer ones have built in timers and Bluetooth, WiFi, panel control. There was $300 rebate from the power company when I got mine. Ended up cost about $150 and saves me close to $600 annually on power usage. Win.

KWD
Just now, ILoveControl said: Oh no I am not and that is a great idea, what make model do you have? Is it intergrated into your C4 if so how? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro I have a non integrated Jacuzzi JVX pump, it does have bluetooth for programming. I have a Pentair panel and should have got a intelipump but wasn't thinking. But once I got it set the way I wanted I never touch it except to back wash and clean the filter. I as going to get the panel integrated until I realized the only time I ever do anything I'm already out there by the panel anyway. Would rather add an intelichem now more than anything. brantlmcdonald
AFAIK, you will have to install an intellitouch panel to integrate an intelliflo pump. If you had this panel, other integrations would include temp control (if you have a heated/cooled pool) and jandy valve control for water features, spa, etc... Edit to add....: you can still do on/off with a variable speed pump on a simple timer. Generally though I don’t think they’re ever really programmed to go off when set as a stand-alone without an automation panel. at least not those I deal with as an electrical contractor that does a lot of pool installs.
