Pakedge Systems

Does anyone have a Pakedge system.  I am looking at possible using it for Switch/Router/Wireless systems.  I am curious, what models do you have and do you like it?  Dealers, how easy is it to install and are you happy with it?

Thanks

I use the RK1 Router (with bakpak, and vpn capabilities), SX8P switch, SX24P switch, WK1 access point, and PDU2.  Basically the whole PCNA kit and a 24 port switch (plus other stuff).  It impressed me enough to deploy it after the course.   For dealers that absolutely need support, and bakpak, the money spent up front pays off.   There's always a cheaper network option but that may not be worth the headache for some of us.

What can I say, I like it (and use it) but I know some people get emotional about the subject.  It's relatively easy to set up (as long as you have sound networking knowledge) but there won't be as many advanced options for the pro's that need more customization.  It's tuned for home automation out of the box.  I never have to reboot the equipment.  There's really no second guessing the network if there's ever a problem with the system.  Unfortunately end users won't have the direct support (or bakpak) unless a dealer is involved to help with that.

The Pakedge system is great and works pretty darn good. Never had to reboot anything (I use RK1, WA2200 WAPs, SX8P)

Hard to compete with Ubiquiti though. Espcially with the new Dream Machines coming out that make things easier than ever.

If price is not a concern get Pakedge you will be happy with it.

If your can't fathom spending a few grand on your network get ubiquiti.

Pakedge's tech support is awesome. Ubiquiti its basically non existent.

Ubiquiti without a doubt has way more features, whether you need or will use all of them is another story
