HomeAutomationNerd
I've got a 256GB USB Drive that I can shuttle between a PC and an EA5. That works for bringing in the raw media files. I'm ok using a QNap instead, if that's an easier solution. What's the best way to do an export from iTunes (or Tidal, or Spotify) so that all the metadata (album info, cover art, etc) comes along for the ride? Ideally this would apply to playlists as well, as it appears the iTunes XML Format is quite different from the Control4 XML format. Recreating playlists isn't something I'm looking forward to. These playlists are all quite static. For example: Rush / Led Zeppelin / AC/CD and so forth is a pretty set playlist. Sleeping Music (Rain Sounds, Frogs, whales, etc, are also fairly well set). The "Dynamic" playlists ("Current Pop", etc) will remain played through Tidal.
South Africa C4 user
Why not just use the C4 Tidal driver and link it to your Tidal account? Then everything is Simply there and will update as you update your Tidal playlists / libraries.
HomeAutomationNerd
Tidal only supports 1 stream at a time. If I’m listening on my phone, or in the car, my house won’t work. Different streams in different rooms also errors out. Why use the cloud for stuff that won’t change? GregCAMS
Depending on your Tidal plan you can do separate streams at a time. For example I have the HiFi Family Plan and have 5 simultaneous streams. Two streams are dedicated to 2 guest rooms with C4 keypads programmed to Tidal playlists. Two others are 'free-floating' for myself and one other for the backyard/pool area. These allow you to play at least 4 streams of different music in those zones, add an additional zone and still play the music in the car or on the computer. HomeAutomationNerd
Hrm. I have the HIFI plan. I’ll check into a family version. I was unaware there was such a thing on Tidal.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
GregCAMS
Yeah installed it about 5 months ago and works great with the EA-5, Triad Audio Matrix the C4 Tidal Driver. I had to use separate e-mail addresses associated with the main account for each of these zones. HomeAutomationNerd
HomeAutomationNerd
Reading, looks like Tidal is going to want additional email accounts - no option for multiple streams like Netflix. Zonks. What a pain. I’ll just stick with my original plan. The kids mostly use AirPlay from their iDevices anyway, as Sharebridge works great for this.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Probably took me half an hour to setup because of this... but once it was done, it was perfect. GregCAMS and HomeAutomationNerd
