zaphod
Is there an easy way to set a different default volume for each source so that it always starts at a default volume level? Or do I have to use code like this: When the video selection changes ?If Room Kitchen Selected Video Device is CableTV Kitchen ->Kitchen->CURRENT_VOLUME=50 ?If Room Kitchen Selected Video Device is Kitchen Roku ->Kitchen->CURRENT_VOLUME=
mindedc1
If this is going through a receiver or matrix switcher there is usually a setting on the device itself to level across sources. All of the Onkyo, Marantz, Denon, Sony (bad choice I know), and Audio Control gear I've had in the last 20 years could do this. Audio matrixes are a mixed bag, there are probably people here who know much more than me on that topic. I would honestly fix it in the device before doing something like this in programming. zaphod
The amp is a C4-16AMP3-B. The main source that is too low is the output from the cable TV box. I am using the analog output from the cable box and I have cranked that up to the max level for the box.
Cyknight
Surprised a TV box is too low? Normally you would have that set to 'TV speaker' or similar setting and have it be the loudest of all sources. Stupid possibility, but could it be that the wire is bad (too much resistance)
zaphod
Thanks for the suggestion, I will try another RCA cable. I used to use HDMI from cable box to TV and then analog out from the TV to the amp which was a higher level but that wasn't optimal so I tried moving to using the analog out of the cable box.
