Dinushan Paranavithana
I have tested the EA-5 controller with a RS232 DMX Engine. I had to break the 4th pin of DB-9 male connector starting from left, in order for it to work. DB-9 Connector broken pin - https://ibb.co/QCmsFZN However, I have not tested this with a CA-1 controller. As you know, CA-1 has a RJ45 port for serial communication and we can directly purchase a RJ45 to DB9 connector cable from Control4. In this case, do I need to break the 4th pin of this cable as well? RJ45 to DB9 Connector - https://ibb.co/MnpyR4t Thank you.
Cyknight
As per their (driver developer) own directive, they recommend doing so - as the CA1 serial connection is a full TX/RX +/- connections, one would imagine that yes, you have to remove it.
