net_tech
Hi, I see a roller blind group shown here https://www.control4.com/help/c4/user/userguide/content/topics/comfort/blinds.htm Assuming roller blinds master 1 and roller blinds master 2 are in the group. How do I get multiple binds to a group? Does it require a group driver? Thanks
C4 User
There is a blind group driver. If you search for it on this forum you should find more about it. I assume you need a dealer to set it up but I’m not sure of that.
net_tech
do you know if the driver is model specific or generic for any blind make / model ?
net_tech
Found control4_blind_group.c4z, assuming that's what I need loaded Thanks
C4 User
I think so. The Blind Group driver is not blind specific AFAIK. It simply goes on top of the specific blind drivers in your project. For example, I have Qmotion shades in my house. So I have a Qmotion blind driver for each blind in my system and one instance of the group driver for each group in the system. You can even combine groups into a new group. Works great. net_tech
net_tech
@C4 User Thank you! C4 Group Blinds driver worked, however it introduced another problem. Whenever I try to control any of the shades individually they work flawlessly, but if I used them in a group, 9 times out of 10 one of the blinds will loose communication with a controller. (Z-Wave) Will try to put blinds on separate channels, but not sure if that's gonna resolve the problem.
