HDBaseT receiver question

Given the age of my system I’m assuming this question has been answered many times but I was unable to find it here.  I have a whole house C4 system that was installed in the 2013 timeframe.  It has a 8x8 video matrix (C4-8ZVMS-B-BX) with 8 of the HDBaseT receivers (C4-HDBTEB-B).  Over time some of the receivers have died.  I purchased a few spares early on but am down to my last 8 working units and one is beginning to exhibit intermittent problems.  My assumption is these receivers were long since discontinued (from what I’ve read on this forum) but am wondering if there is a successor?  Would the current receivers that are used with the newer matrix work?  They appear to be powered via PoH which I suspect my older matrix doesn’t support.  Is my only option going to be to replace the matrix?  In addition to video, I use the IR or serial ports on these to control (on/off) the TVs to which they are attached.

Well considering those aren't available that's a moot point, but no.

You should be able to use ANY HDBaseT receiver (with local power) with ANY HDBaseT transmitter (switch) for the purpose of HDMI distribution. You'll likely not get network/IR/serial with it, and as you noted, you can't use a PoH receiver (without external power option) with a non PoH switch/transmitter.

PoH as such is supposed to be a standard, but I can't give you any real-life examples of it working or not working across brands/models as I haven't tried.
