Alexa - Room Not Responding

Recommended Posts

I’m curious if anyone has been getting “room not responding” when issuing room specific commands to Alexa?  This started happening happening on my system after the recent AWS outage in us-east-1. Oddly, whatever command is sent does work, Alexa just responds that the “room is not responding.”  Device or voice scene specific commands do not exhibit this issue. All commands succeed so it’s not really a big deal, Alexa must not be receiving the ack portion of the handshake or something. I’ve disabled/re-enabled the skill, rebooted controller etc. multiple times, however the issue persists. Curious if this is happening to anyone else?  Also curious if the dealer notes for the recent update this week mention anything voice assistant related?

I started a similar thread a little over a week ago here. Several of us are seeing the same thing.
