MikeIn312 Posted May 14, 2023 Posted May 14, 2023 My work laptop has SSD storage for the windows OS, and a separate HDD for file storage, which has led to one of the most reliable laptops I've ever owned. However, after 3 years, that OS SSD has become pretty tight for space. C4 doesn't help by installing a full version of composer for each update to the software (I often go in and delete the ones that only lasted a few months, knowing they will have to download again just so I can update whatever system I'm servicing). After removing software I don't use as much (like programming software for Vantage, RTI, etc, only to re-install them at-need), I started doing some advanced searches of my Windows user files. Frankly, what I found was shocking. More than half of ALL my windows user files were old composer log files. OVER 17 GB in about 1.5 years of using the software since my last wipe of the computer. That amount of space more than allowed my to keep all the software and apps that I had been deleting after each use. What a mess! The software needs a "clear cached files" option, or something. Ridiculous. Quote
