Josh.ai Core experience?

Shoe

Recommended Posts

I'm testing Josh with a micro. If I were testing Josh with a Core is anything different? What does a core get me if I can support my device numbers with a Micro?

What if any lift do you get when you have a Core AND a Micro? I know you need a core if you have Nano's but does a Micro on a Core get you anything? They are both doing voice on the edge.

Core gets you-

-2x RCA outputs that you can feed to your distributed audio system, which you can use to have the Josh Micros respond out of your speakers instead of its own internal speaker

-the ability to have up to 500 devices in the Josh system, vs 100 devices if just using a Micro or even multiple Micros

-possibly faster processing?  haven't really tested response times with/without to see if there is a real world difference.  I imagine in theory its faster, especially if your Micro is on wifi vs. a hardwired Core with stronger/faster processor.

-if none of the above is important, then I would recommend spending the money on additional micros for other areas of the house.  If you need to support more than 100 devices but less than 200, you can also add a Josh One for $599 msrp but don't get the audio outputs.
