CFUG
I thought I'd annoy you all by posting here rather than getting torched over on AVSForums. Is there any reason anyone can share why my camcorder-shot 1920x1080 has jaggies when played back through a Media Player onto a Samy 650 LCD. If I back-down to 1440x1080 it looks peachy.Back on a Control4 Media Plyer (cough, cough) and I've scrolled through all the avail. resolutions in an act of desperation. Still the 1920 stuff looks crappy on complex patterns and movement. Looks kinda like cartoonists technique for motion ((X)) you know, those non-descript half-moons around the object.BTW, looks crappy on a computer monitor too. CFUG
Well, a little more experimentation yesterday- Managed to wait-out a 13 hr. render of a *.wmv and the results were great. This was a 1080-60i render on Vegas and a firmware update (or reload if you will) on the C4 Media Player (now the auto resolution selection works 100% of the time). zaphod
This sounds like a de-interlacing issue.
