ChrisE
How many people would like to see full screen apps on their displays? I just had an app rejected because it took over the bottom area of the screen where the media player buttons are. IMO developers should be able to decide what the interface for their apps looks like and if they need the Control4 buttons at all. Any thoughts? It is disappointing that I can make apps that use almost the entire screen and work beautifully but I can't distribute them to other people because of Control4's stance on this. ILoveC4
Depending on the app I wouldn't mind it at all. They rejected your app because of that?!?
WillEV
Without access to the rest of the Control4 UI how are you going to get out of your app?
ChrisE
In the app I made, I left the top bar visible so the back and home buttons were still available. If they allowed full screen apps you could still make your own quit button to leave the app whenever you want. I don't see why this isn't allowed. Imagine if all iPhone apps required you to have the media player and other buttons on the screen all the time. The reason why iPhone took off is because they opened up the OS to developers to make whatever they like.
