mensub
I just installed composer 2.0.2...When i went to c4folder/composer, saw a folder named C4i in addition to the drivers folder. Also inside the drivers folder saw virtual and control folders.I know all these are related to drivers but it would be really helpful if someone can explain ,why there are seperate folders? ILoveC4
I have no idea, and frankly don't care. I'm curious, why does this matter?Look in My Documents/control4/drivers. That's where any drivers you add will go.

RyanE
Because there's a difference between driver shipped *by* Control4 in a release (which could be updated, etc. by Control4), and those that 'belong' to a user (i.e. are in the user's project, or have been customized by the user). If they were all kept in one location, and an end user / dealer had customized a particular driver, but Control4's ComposerPro was updated, you'd possibly lose those changes. Also, keeping 'user drivers' in the My Documents/Control4/Drivers directory ensures that the *same version* of those driver files are available to multiple versions of Composer. This *does* make it easier. Much easier.RyanE
alanchow
In the past it was in one location. Exertions you updated composer you needed to copy the drivers into the new directory. As Ryan said this is easier
