Mieuicikailleurs
Hello all,It's very hard to find a dealer in France. I am French and I would like to become a C4 dealer.Have a few questions about C4 and home automation:About C4:How long does it take to master C4 programming ?In France, why C4 prices are they so much higher?(ie C4 HC300 € 990 = $ 1,300, 2 times the price in the United States!)In United States, can we find a C4 controller from a vendor that will only integrate multimedia? How long does it take to achieve full integration of an average home:an apartment with kitchen, bathroom, lounge, 2 bedrooms, 5 roller shutters?a house with entrance, kitchen, two bathrooms, four bedrooms, a lounge, 10 shutters, garage with automatic door, a portal, an outdoor lighting system?a hotel with 50 rooms? What will be the future improvements of the system?About home automation:What do you think about Google Home Automation and IPv6?Will it be a true competitor to C4?Tahoma from SOMFY € 350=$ 470, why C4 is your best? Many thanks in advance for your replies. xc420
About C4:How long does it take to master C4 programming ?It's not very hard to learn. If you practiced learning ComposerPro on your own system, you can probably learn enough in a few hours to go out and install basic systems. There are other aspects like making 2 way IP ( you need to know LUA ) and serial drivers that will take a little longer to learn but It's not necessary. You can make IR drivers with driver wizard in probably about 15 minutes. How long does it take to achieve full integration of an average home:an apartment with kitchen, bathroom, lounge, 2 bedrooms, 5 roller shutters?around 30 minutes if all the drivers are availablea house with entrance, kitchen, two bathrooms, four bedrooms, a lounge, 10 shutters, garage with automatic door, a portal, an outdoor lighting system?45 ~ 60 minutes if all the drivers are available a hotel with 50 rooms?Probably around 8 - 10 hours but it all depends on other circumstances. If software or firmware needs to be updated, that could take much longer than programming the system. RyanE
Typically, the 'New Installer Training' provided by Control4 lasts 4 days. There are also some online prep courses before the official training. If you already have programming / installation training, that time *could* be less, but I'd still recommend the training provided by Control4 for new dealers.RyanE
Mieuicikailleurs
Hello and thanks for your replies,To become a dealer we have to accept a package of training provided by the C4 french distributor .This pack includes three days of training, a controller HC300 EB, an amp-zone AVG-RAA1-B, a touch screen C4-TSWMC5-EG-BL, a license for iPad / iPhone C4-MYHOME -E.We can had a 7'' touch screen, an IO extender, a dimmer (240 V?), a switch, an iPod dock, a matrice 4x4What do you think about that? How do I access the online prep courses before the official training?Have you ever installed devices from Citygrow?Citygrow is a Swiss company specialized in third party ZigBee products, there is a driver for C4. http://www.citygrow.eu/index.htmlcontrolsystems is out, g.e.n.e.s.s.i.s technologies is the current distributor in France and other European countries. In the United States, is there any C4 dealer that only work on integration of home theater?
