mark333
I apologize if this is rather basic, but I have the hc-500 controller which is working fine, however my hc-200 will not power on? I’ve check to make sure the power outlet isn’t the problem…. Any ideas for a novice?
nikon
It is in all likelihood the power adapter. How long ago did you purchase the 200? It may still be under warranty.
mark333
less than a year ago, would that still be under warranty? Are these generic adapters that are expensive replace or fix?
nikon
If you purchased the unit a year ago as long as it hasn't been 2 years that it was shipped from Control4 it is still under warranty. Any Control4 dealer can RMA it for you. The replacement unit is free but depending on the dealer you may run into an administration sort of fee. mark333
my dealer (audio video- surrey) closed. I'll try one of their other audio video stores to see if they'll handle the claim.
nikon
If they don't handle it for you give me a call, I will get you up and running. If you have a volt meter one thing you should probably check, is to measure the output of the power supply to ensure it is dead to rule out the HC200 itself. If you go to AVU Langley take the HC200 and the power supply so they can rule out the controller themselves and get the MAC address off it for the RMA.
