  1. He charged 25 dollars for each switch/dimmer. I didn't know it was that easy. Yes - switched dealers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I have Radio Ra2 and would highly recommend it. The integration with the latest drivers is excellent. Radio Ra 2 will also allow you to integrate shades (I have about 80 dinners/switches and 12 triathlon shades) and am very happy with Radio Ra2. I have the certification also so it is nice to be able to add shades when I want without having to get a dealer involved. You'll need the dealer for the C4 part - adding device ID's - but there is a work around. You can create a dummy switch on the main repeater (you can make up to 100 of these), create a custom button in C4 and then have that button trigger (open/close etc) the dummy switch in Radio Ra2. You can similarly trigger blinds to open and close based on different events in Control4 by triggering one of these buttons on the Lutron main repeater. Once your dealer does the initial integration at least you don't have to wait for your dealer to integrate - at least get started and then have dealer add the driver for the new device when they find the time to do it. Lutron integrates directly with Apple HomeKit and Alexa also. Not to rant but C4 really needs to get a handle on what people are getting charged for integrating devices. It took my dealer about 3 hours to add the drivers, name them, add the integration IDs and test and I was out more than 1500 dollars. Surgeons are not getting paid that much for brain surgery.
  3. Will the driver work with the August smart Keypad? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Does Doorbird show live video only on the T3 touch screens or on the older 7 inch touch screens also - the ones just one generation before T3? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Best option in my opinion is to hack a MyQ controller (wall keypad etc - I used a wireless one), solder a wire on both sides of the button and connect to a relay. Mine is connected to a relay on the controller about 30 feet away from the garage in my AV closet. I tried the Houselogix driver and had constant issues with updating. Have not had a single problem with this hacked control for last 6 months. It's a bit more work but worth it in my opinion. No need to worry about any changes/update in the API - ever. The MyQ controller will probably cost you something like 50 dollars and the rest is your work on the soldering which will take 10-20 min max. I have no knowledge of soldering, watched a youtube video and did it in 10 min. My dealer integrated remotely in another 10 min.
  6. I just switched out my 2 24 gigabit Cisco switches for a 48 gigabit Planet switch (fabless) - there has been a loss of speed and some devices are just not responding. Is that typical or could it be a bad switch? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I am not aware how you can lean an RF signal and integrate into C4. I have used same technique to integrate my garage door opener (MyQ) - I switched back to my rigged opener after the Houselogix driver wouldn't keep up with the updates. You can always put the rigged remote in a nearby closet or attic so you can't see it - as long as there is an outlet to power the relay or you could always run a wire back to the controller to use the built in relay there. 8. Can you open up a remote and attach/solder a C4 compatible relay to it? You would need the relay to complete the circuit that would trigger the RF signal - maybe on both sides of where the button press triggers the RF signal? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Thanks - ordered one yesterday. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. The AV closet is in my media room so need everything to be near silent. I would also prefer an unmanaged switch. I'm going to try Planet and see how it goes. Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Someone had previously recommended Planet / GSW-4800. Has anyone had any issues? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I currently use 2 24 port Cisco switches but one has started to have ports fail Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. What doesn't Control4 set a license fee for endusers to get access to Pro equal to or more than what the average amount a dealer makes from the particular consumer? Give that money to the dealer and let the consumers access to a locked version of pro that works in only their system? This way the dealers are happy and C4 makes money. They would certainly benefit from an infusion of cash. I know I'll get slammed - but hey if you don't mention it then no one listens. I would recommend C4 survey people who own their system. I have had C4 for 4 years and have never even been given a survey to fill out if I am satisfied or not. Yes the system works but I am not sure I would get locked down like this again.
  14. Control4 website now allows you to renew 4sight directly with them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. The IP addresses are obviously useless unless someone has a static address Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
