    Randomly today (or could have started last couple of days) door lock notifications are very different and don’t show the specific door. We did have batteries die on back door lock so maybe something got reset. Any insight as to why our lock notifications are very generic (and opposite what they should be, I.e. notifies locked when unlocked, etc). 8b2359e34dbcff6567b8d8aa16f4ed84.jpg

    All fixed now as most cameras got switched to the /me stream somehow.

    One other ask, I’ve never received camera notifications, whether snapshot or video, via Control4.

    Get Snapshot URL test passes but the MJPEG and Video do not.

    When I test the push notification it comes through my phone with snapshot perfectly. But when normal activist occurs I do not get the push notification through the C4 app, only Hik-vision.

    Kasa driver slow?

    Is anyone else experiencing very slow Kasa driver functions? When turning a light on or off it takes a good 20 seconds to complete. Seemed to start several months ago I just really didn’t think much of it as most lights are automated anyway.

    Cable box (IR) programming help

    Our living room cable box (Cox) programming button for “last” or “previous channel” works maybe 5% of the time. I swear it worked well at some point but all of sudden it hasn’t done over a year. Our media room has the Cox DVR and it works just fine.

     

    Any idea or help as to why the one button works very infrequently?

    Front door contact sensor missing

    My local dealer is closed today and this isn’t urgent, so asking here.

     

    We have a concord4 alarm integrated with wired recessed door sensors. I just noticed our front door sensor is missing from the door jam. What’s interesting is there’s not the typical magnetic end on the door itself so this appears to be a single piece or possibly some sort of spring sensor that must have broken or got pulled out.

     

    I can see in the door jam hole there appears to be a small piece of metal and if I move it with a small screwdriver it triggers the door open / close. When I did this I also noticed some small crushed glass inside the hole so clearly it got smashed.

     

    Anyone know what piece this might be considering it’s not the typical two piece magnetic contact sensor?5ef3f17edefc2be3e42e1a2ddb82fb6b.jpg

    New Halo and Halo Touch Remotes

    It should be available shortly.  The firmware to support voice has not been pushed out yet, it's still in release testing.
    It works exactly like the Xfinity voice remote, so yes, you can ask for channels by number or name, you can perform movie / actor / whatever searches.

    Question while on this topic: will it work with Cox as well? I currently have the Xfinity driver (I think as it has that icon) to control my Cox boxes. From what I think I understand Cox uses the same stuff as Xfinity and our Cox remotes do have voice control.

    Chime vs nest/ring

    I previously had a nest doorbell camera but it wasn’t working great as people couldn’t hear me. When I upgraded into control4 for my house, i was talked into getting the chime. I like how I can see the camera and use the motion sensor to turn on my porch and outside flood lights. I hate it for the sole purpose it was created in that it’s hard to access to history and pretty worthless when trying to answer a call when someone rings it. 
     
    im considering to rip it out and sell it on eBay and then just installing a new ring or best camera. I saw there is a driver so I can use the motion sensor which is important to me. 
     
    my installer told me that ring and nest still have that problem in that there is a long delay when someone rings the doorbell. Right now, it takes 30 seconds to 2 min for the control4 screen +’intercom to load up before I can see who is there or talk.  Is there a long delay with ring/nest? I don’t think there is a way to incorporate the ring camera live view into control4 but I’m okay with that. The history is so much easier to view.
     
    I have other cameras set up through hikvision and can view them on control4. Is there a way to bring the ring camera into hikvision and then view it that way?

    Is yours a WiFi version? If so I’d be interested in buying off you. Feel free to dm me.
