  1. I'm currently on Composer HE 3.1.1 and can access via Local or Remote on my laptop just fine, but considering that's my work laptop I'd prefer to use my home HP all-in-one desktop. However, when trying to access using the HP I get the following fatal error message and cannot connect. I used to at least be able to connect via Remote System while on my home network , but now I can't even do that. Any ideas or help? See error messages and screenshot below: Exception: System.UnauthorizedAccessException Message: Access to the path 'C:\Users\jonet\AppData\Roaming\Control4\Composer\controllers.xml' is denied. 2. Merry Christmas all! Quick question regarding this new driver. I currently have all my Hikvision cameras plugged directly into the NVR (POE). With that, the IP addresses are issued by the NVR itself. Will I be able to use those IP addresses since my Hikvision system is Plug N Play or will I need to wait for the NVR driver y’all are working on to be released? Thanks in advance! 3. Sorry, I’m new to integrating Hikvision into C4 as it’s still on my to-do list, so a slight learning curve here. I’m working under the assumption C4 allows viewing cameras away from home network without the use of opening ports or enabling P2P within Hikvision cams or NVR, so long as you have 4sight? Currently, in order to get push notifications within Hikvision (not tied to Control4) I have to enable P2P, which I’d prefer not do to. Looking at your documentation and your comment I’m thinking it’s not needed as a setting within Hikvision directly, which is a good thing. But looking for confirmation. 4. Does this require P2P (Guarding Vision) or open ports to get push notifications? Currently the only way I can get Hikvision push notifications on iOS device is for P2P to be activated, which disables the ability to run OpenVPN for added layer of security, as far as I’ve been able to read up on and setup on my NVR. 7. I’m I the process of adding Hikvision and am using Nelly’s Security H-Series cams and NVR. They’re all oem Hikvision just rebranded with Nelly’s name and Nellys support is top notch which why I’m going this route. I also put in the DB2 WiFi video doorbell and although it won’t work with Intercom Everywhere, it will integrate into the NVR and can be accessed like other cams. Only difference would be using one of the Hikvision apps to answer doorbell calls. Nelly’s sent me a Control4 specific firmware for the NVR which should integrate all its controls if needed on OSD and the remote. But regardless, cams should integrate into C4 just fine by themselves with the various drivers out there. I’m still in the process of getting the cams and NVR setup then will get help adding to C4. Also, hikvison has some pretty nice colorvu cameras which are full color 24/7. I’ve seen some videos where midnight looks like 3 pm and even gets moon shadows from trees. Nellyssecurity.com. 8. Got it working again. Seems like when power got restored to the house the EA3 and EA1 got confused. I power cycled them both and it connected just fine. Should’ve done that earlier [emoji849] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Appreciate the suggestion. I’ve done this about 10x now and still not connecting: -Run Discovery -wait 2-3 min - HEOS Network properties —> Preferred HEOS Connection 1 —> select the location (only have one HEOS in my project) -HEOS —> Player Assignment —> make sure the same location is selected -File —> Refresh Navigators Doesn’t fix the issue. 10. Had a brief power outage earlier and now our are on HEOS soundbar in living room isn’t connecting to C4. The HEOS app works fine from my iPhone to change volume, settings, etc. Checked in Composer HE and Fing and IP address appears to still be the same and the connections / setting in Composer all look correct. Could Denon have pushed an update which broke something and is anyone else having any issues? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Thanks for the confirmation! Haven’t really thought about this feature and sounds like a bit of a miss. What is the typical workaround here within C4, or do most just use the separate native app for whatever cameras they have? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I’ve been looking at Nelly’s Security and getting their H-series line of cameras and NVR (all direct Hikvision) and the ds-2cd2432f-iw mentioned above is exactly what I’m interested in using indoors, one being in our toddlers room. Sounds like they integrate well and these have both options of WiFi or POE. Just to make sure, the C4 will pick up two way audio on these or won’t? I’m also looking at their doorbell which I know won’t work with Intercom Anywhere for answering the door, but the video will integrate through the NVR so I’m okay using the Hikvision app to answer the door, but wasn’t sure about regular camera audio coming through with C4 integration. https://www.nellyssecurity.com/5mp-indoor-ir-wifi-cube-camera-with-2-8mm-wide-angle-lens-built-in-two-way-audio-mic-and-speakers-true-pir-motion-detection-30-infrared-night-vision-sd-card-slot-for-on-board-storage-nsc-245w-c.html https://www.nellyssecurity.com/nsc-db2-3mp-wifi-video-doorbell-16gb.html https://www.nellyssecurity.com/4mp-extreme-low-light-ip-poe-weatherproof-turret-camera-w-integrated-flood-light-microphone-nsc-nitecolor-dm2.html Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Looking at getting some Hikvision cameras and NVR from Nelly’s Security. I’ve been reading over on IP Cam Talk and these seems to be very highly regarded, especially with Nelly’s service. While these are all oem directly from Hikvision I wanted to see if anyone has integrated Nelly’s rebranded items into C4 or have had issues doing so. Below are what I’m looking into getting: NVR: https://www.nellyssecurity.com/nsn-616-4k-16p-16-channel-poe-plug-n-play-4k-nvr.html Cameras: Turrets - https://www.nellyssecurity.com/4mp-extreme-low-light-ip-poe-weatherproof-turret-camera-w-integrated-flood-light-microphone-nsc-nitecolor-dm2.html Cameras: Cubes - https://www.nellyssecurity.com/5mp-indoor-ir-wifi-cube-camera-with-2-8mm-wide-angle-lens-built-in-two-way-audio-mic-and-speakers-true-pir-motion-detection-30-infrared-night-vision-sd-card-slot-for-on-board-storage-nsc-245w-c.html Thanks in advance and Happy Thanksgiving! 14. Has anyone worked with these 3rd party models and have them working as stable equivalents to DS2s? Wanting to upgrade from a SkyBell WiFi doorbell but would need to run a CAT cable, which will be difficult, if not impossible, as long as I don’t want to remove trim and sheetrock.
  15. It wasn’t obvious but I have the same remote as some other write-ups so it was simple. You can use a couple wires to test and find the right point by touching them together and they’ll open / close door once you get the correct two. And yes the opener still works fine. I haven’t plugged into the back of my io extender yet but it still works. Also cleaned it up a bit using a simple weatherproof outlet cover from Lowe’s: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
