  1. Recently added a few rokus to my system and noticed that plex would continue to play my recorded series/episodes even after you room off. I ensured the "on power off" was set to Home but it does not bring you back to the home menu when hitting room off.

I'm launching apps from the universal mini drivers. I noticed if I hit watch and select the roku, and not the mini driver, the on power off or on power on commands work. If I use mini drivers, it doesn't seem to function.

Am I missing something in my setup or doing something wrong with the mini drivers? Curious if anyone else is experiencing this.

    Thanks

This doesn't even make sense. They will, from time-to-time, have a bleeding edge (whatever that means since it's their own product) release that will break some functionality or cause some issues, but for the most part if you don't auto-update and understand when something is stable, their solutions are quite solid.

That said, if wanting to go the Ubiquiti route w/AVoIP, would highly recommend the Edgerouter/EdgeSwitch lines instead. There are even a few of these products that are on approved lists for AVoIP for systems such as Atlona Omnistream.

You’ve nailed it. Don’t set auto updates while using UniFi APs. Their updates frequently break so you need to run old firmware or stay in early access / beta release channels

  3. I recently upgraded to the UniFi enterprise 48 port poe switch. It’s total overkill for my use case but it works well on a large C4 project. the only issue I have is with my moip setup and requires some manual configuration within the switch CLI to make it work. It may not survive a reboot or update. Outside of that I haven’t seen any issues.

I also manage several UniFi wireless networks and would avoid them if possible. I’ve seen a ton of issues with bugs in firmware or their newest products which requires running old or bleeding edge versions to be stable. It could be viable if you’re looking for short term solution to get you by until ruckus or other higher end 6e APs are available

I currently run UniFi APs within my home and plan to replace with ruckus once 6e is available

DM me if you want any specifics on my setup

I've actually noticed this to not be the case as much anymore. No idea why. The three Shields I share under one set of mini-apps with my video matrix will show the mini app icon, the one dedicated to the HT will not.

    Thanks

The one I'm testing is dedicated to HT as well. I'll test a bit more and see if I can replicate similar behavior when attached to my matrix, other rooms, shared mini drivers etc

HOW TO FIX THE LACK OF CONTROL AFTER UPDATE

    1. Use the Shield remote
    2. Wake device if asleep (duh)
    3. Navigate to Settings -> Device Preferences -> Display & Sound -> HDMI-CEC Enable (TURN OFF)
    4. Reboot the device as prompted

This is a new distinct setting on all the Shields (likely split out from another menu) and has been enabled by default after update regardless of prior settings. I did this for all of my 2019 Shield Pros and upon reboot, C4 could control the device again.

    Good luck!

Yep same experience here. Had to turn it off after the latest update.

Normal behaviour, the driver hasn't got Passthrough mode like Roku..

Apologies somewhat off topic question but I was testing on an LG CX with C4 CX driver and noticed the behavior act like a Roku device. I can select the mini driver app, the source remains as the selected app such as netflix. I'm not seeing anything in documentation about passthrough. Just wanted to double check that when using the shield there isn't a method to keep the selected app as the source.

Are LG and Roku the only 2 options that will work this way?

  6. Anyone else seeing issues with concord4 integration? Panel is showing offline but manual key presses through the C4 interface seem to pass to the system based on keypad feedback. However there are no events being logged within the history and the panel shows offline within composer.

I also had a random alarm triggered today and can't find the reason. The alarm isn't logged in history but all other sensor events are there and logged for about 10 minutes after the alarm. Nothing has logged since.

IIRC there were some bugs related to date and time around this time last year. I'm guessing there is something wrong with my panel but wanted to double check to make sure it's isolated to my project.

    Thanks

  7. I’ll try calling that number tomorrow

  8. I've contacted their product support email and it sounds like they are at least aware of the issue but I couldn't get an answer if they are actually working to address it or if they are deprecating support for this.

I would recommend everyone to email productsupport@fluidra.com to report this problem

I am having the same issue since last week but have noticed that when I go through the reconnect process, it usually will work for 1 command and will immediately stop after that. I wonder if a security update etc. is seeing it as a threat and stopping things after that action has completed.

Yep I noticed some errors being returned from their API saying too many requests. They may have tweaked some rate limits.

Control4 and Jandy are both aware of the issue now so hopefully we'll have a quick resolution

  10. Spoke too soon. This did bring the controller online and I was able to read temps but was not actually able to control pumps.

    C4 status page now shows

    Quote

Jandy iAqualink Outage: Control4 has discovered an outage causing Jandy iAqualink drivers to show offline or not control properly. Jandy has been informed of the outage and their developers are currently investigating.

That’s great. How  did you “blank out” the settings? Did you delete the driver?

    thanks for any advice

In the driver properties, I erased username password and serial number and click set next to each. I waited a few minutes and added everything back. For the serial # I did not use any dashes. From actions tab I clicked each of the items, get new session, get home screen, get devices.

Controller went from an offline state to an online state and regained control through C4.

  12. We have a project where pool control through C4 stopped working within the last 48-72 hours. Don't believe there were any changes to the project or network. Using the latest iaqualink driver, we're seeing xml errors.

ReceivedFromCom  ReceiveBuffer is now Failed to post v1/mobile/session.json: HTTP response code said error

HandleMessage. Message is ==>Failed to post v1/mobile/session.json: HTTP response code said error<==

Error: message is not valid xml

Anyone else having similar issues or can you confirm pool control is still functioning?

I've no beef in the argument if Stadia will or won't work, but the low cost of trying it out (in a serious matter) and Google NOT coming out and saying it has xxxx milions of users isn't a great way to inspire confidence.

Guess I'll just wait and see if another 9 months from now I completely forgot it exists again....

Agree with all your points. There is a risk that they will pull the plug, and honestly,  I wouldn’t be surprised if they did.

My investment in this is pretty low and I personally think it’s worth the risk so far.  That may change in the near future.

Wanted to suggest it as it could be a good option for some on here

  14. Yeah would still recommend it. IMO I'm not concerned about google's game studios closing and is probably good for stadia overall.  It narrows their focus on the stadia platform and allows them to work with 3rd party studios to offer the top rated games or contract exclusives instead of trying to dev their own. This has failed for amazon a few different times.

If you compare it to last gen consoles, stadia graphics are on par or above a ps4 pro. CP2077 launch was a huge flop on ps4 and xbox because it couldn't run the game smoothly. Stadia actually ran it rather well.

Another benefit is the lower cost to try this out. You can basically play on anything that can run a chrome browser with any bluetooth controller or use a chromecast ultra + wifi stadia controller. You only need a subscription if you're interested in their free monthly games, 4K HDR + 5.1 surround

Downside is the size of their game library but they have been expanding quickly.
