@ekohn00I see your point , but how can you prove whether it was malicious or not ? I am actually learning doxing right now. I am going of the dictionary definition.

@ekohn00but the definition of Doxing states “Publish Private or identifying information with malicious intent” I think someone’s public information is one thing but your intent was malicious when you said go there and tell them about their sales tactic. I am using that dictionary definition you put out there. 

@ekohn00wasn’t your intention of posting someone’s public profile with malicious intent when you said they could reach out about the bad sales approach.  So in that moment you showed your intent not sure . I guess courts that can decide stuff like that. I do not even know.

I think putting someone’s information in a forum on the internet is called doxxing @ekohn00 that is illegal.

I called control4 snake oil because I am using your logic of saying proprietary = snake oil and it was referenced that control4 has their own unique way for designing their products.

@msgreenfIf you are someone with over 15+ years in cybersecurity and you talk about the designs of control4 whether hardware design, you would know that there are always multiple variations of hack. You can bash it all you want at some point you asked about the cost to know exactly it works.

I cannot answer that question that is just one way it keeps up with the threats CVEs stand for code vulnerabilities exposure list. That is a database where anytime a new type of hack is done it is updated. So whether your router has a published one or not, I do not think that matters.

Also your card information is processed by a third party service stripe or PayPal , all they do is send us the money. We do not have access to that, those financial institutions do.

Your data is always encrypted before it is transferred.

And if you want to delete your data you can go ahead and do that, you are in full control of that information.
