  1. I have two Card Access WMS10-2 (no "ZP" in the model number) motion detectors and I have tried every single troubleshooting step and cannot get either of them to identify. Since these aren't the "ZP" models, do I need an additional part to make them work, such as a Card Access Relay Module or something else? What is the cheapest/easiest way I can get these to identify?
  2. I'm thinking of purchasing a Sonos Roam tiny powered speaker to act as a digital doorbell for use when someone presses the doorbell button on my C4 Wifi Chime doorbell. I think a Sonos Roam speaker would be easiest for this, but I don't know how to send an announcement to a Sonos speaker. I currently have a Sonos Port and would like to test with that. How do I do this in Composer Pro? Thanks.
  3. Thank you to all who have replied. This is really not what I was wanting, or expecting, to hear at all. For a power user such as myself, having a button that has a label that says one thing but a command that does another is workable, albeit not ideal, but for the rest of the family, some of which are going on 70 years old, this just won't work. The label of the button needs to describe what the command will do when pressed. We also have some drivers that are IP/Serial only, so going IR isn't really an option, either. I wish I would have known such a simple thing as renaming a remote button on the GUI wasn't possible before I invested in C4 over Crestron or some other system, but now that I have many thousands of dollars and many months of time invested, I'm going to have to work around it as I cannot afford to start over. Is there any driver (or any way to create a driver) that would allow one to simply rename a button/change its label on the GUI of a touchscreen? Is this possible in any way? I'm happy to pay for custom programming and/or a custom driver if there is any possible way to do this. Several of you have proposed a few different solutions, but before looking into them in detail, I'd like to ask what the consensus is as to the "best" method, meaning one that will get me closest to what I actually want. All I want to do is have a button on the remote GUI along with all the other remote control buttons already there, with an accurate label to describe a specific function that isn't already programmed or available to select in the preconfigured driver for a certain device. What's the closest solution to what I'm looking for, in your opinion? I'm not necessarily looking for the easiest solution, rather one that will get me as close as possible to the ideal. Thanks again for all your help.
  4. No, it's just another icon on the settings menu. Very simple. Let me know if you need any help figuring it out when you get it, but I promise it's really easy. You'll just select Zappiti Services instead of the Google Play Store in the menu.
  5. Good news! I uninstalled using Zappiti Services and not only did it uninstall and reinstall about 5 times more quickly, the Zappiti Library is now working on my C4 Touchscreens. I don't have a Neeo remote, but I'm sure it would be working on that, too, so you should have no issues as long as you update everything before trying to connect it to your C4 driver. The only thing I'm not sure of is in a new installation whether you'll have to first install Zappiti Video then uninstall it and install it again, or if by updating the software as soon as you get it, that will work. So worst case scenario, you'll just have to install, uninstall, then install again. Hope this helps.
  6. Also, if your dealer installed the driver before you physically have the Zappiti, it will NOT work when you set your Zappiti up. You will have to first update all the preinstalled apps, including Zappiti Video, before the driver will be able to connect to your Zappiti. You'll also need to set a static IP and/or Reserved IP address in your router. But once you do that it should connect just fine. Hope this helps.
  7. According to the Zappiti website, the latest version is 4.28.280, but the version that was installed on my Zappiti when I first set it up over a month ago was 4.28.281. There are two ways to uninstall/install apps on the Zappiti directly. You can use the Google Play Store or, for the Zappiti Video App and a few others, you can go to Zappiti Services. I uninstalled it from the "Apps" section of the Zappiti and reinstalled it, but it reinstalled the exact same version, 4.28.281, which did not fix the issue. The Zappiti is controllable with C4, but the Zappiti Library part of the driver package is still not working. Apparently it is on Zappiti's end and the C4 driver does not need updated, but for me, uninstalling and reinstalling didn't work. I'm now going to try uninstalling and reinstalling it again from the Zappiti Services instead of the Apps section and we'll see if that works. Hope this helps.
  8. I have successfully uninstalled Zappiti Video then reinstalled it but it's still not working. When I tap on Zappiti Library in C4 there's still just a circle going round and round. I don't know what else to do at this point, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  9. Hello, It's been another week so I just thought I'd check in. Cresson said you were able to reproduce the error and that there was a problem with the API. I understand that means you may have to wait on Zappiti to act and who knows how long that will take, but I'm just checking in to see if you have an ETA or even a guess as to when this might be fixed. Also, if there is a problem with the API, wouldn't this affect everyone and not just me? Is the Zappiti Library driver working for anyone at this point? Thanks, --Jason
  10. That's definitely an issue I'm running in to. What is the name of the driver that will add buttons back? Is this for IR, IP, and Serial, or just for IR? Thanks for your help.
  11. This is only for IR, though, right? It is not possible to alter buttons on an IP driver in any way? This may be a silly question, but "someone" has to be able to add/remove buttons, right? How else would the remote screen for whatever driver is being used get created to begin with? I'm not trying to be argumentative, rather I'm just trying to understand how things work with C4 and these remote screens so I can better understand exactly what is capable and what is not. If I could edit buttons that use an IP driver, for the two-way feedback, I'd be much happier. Using IR seems like a big step back for me, plus I have a few drivers that are serial only. What about serial drivers? Can I edit buttons for them? Thanks for your help and input.
  12. But does the IR command the dealer records have to go on one of the existing buttons? All of the buttons on this particular remote are used, but there are blank spaces for more. Is it possible to add a button to the remote and record/train it?
  13. Thank you to all who have replied. I don't like the custom buttons because they are extra button presses and on a different menu and location. I'd prefer to keep all the remote control buttons on the actual remote control screen of the touchscreens. I'm interested in the last example, however, what if there are no extra unused buttons I could program for something else? There are plenty of blank spaces where buttons could go on this particular remote screen, but I don't see how I could add a button then program it to what I want it to do or "train" it. Thanks.
  14. Thank you for letting me know and keeping me in the loop. I believe Cresson has sent you what you requested now. Please confirm. He also mentioned maybe you could do an Anydesk session to check further. If you'd like to do that with him, or with me, please let me know. I appreciate your assistance with this. --Jason
  15. Does anyone have any input on this? A lot of my C4 remote screens are missing buttons from the original remotes. For instance, last night I needed the "Option" button on my Sony BDP-CX7000ES 400 Disc Blu-Ray Changer but it isn't on the C4 remote on the touchscreen, so I had to find the original remote, go into the equipment room, point the remote at the device in the rack, press the button, then go back into the theater to make sure it did what I wanted. There have been several examples like this, so I need a way of adding buttons or customizing/changing other buttons on the different remote screens on the navigators. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.
  16. @alanchowMy dealer installed the Zappiti driver and I now have control over the Zappiti from within C4 but nothing is showing in the Zappiti Library app. What must we do/configure for the media that is already scanned and on the Zappiti itself to show in the Zappiti Library on a C4 navigator? Thanks.
  17. I've tried it both ways and get the exact same result either way, though.
  18. I'm still struggling with this. Here are the requested screenshots. Thanks!
  19. I use T3's and T4's for navigation. I have a Lumagen video processor that all of my sources go through, as it's also an HDMI switch with 8 inputs. I need to be able to add 3 or more direct buttons from the original remote control to control the aspect ratio, NLS, resolution, etc, and need these buttons to be on every on screen remote control page for every device under Watch. I've noticed that most of my sources seem to use the same generic remote control screen that has buttons like eject, rewind, fast forward, and a number pad, even though several sources have no use for any of those buttons. I've also noticed, unfortunately, several of my sources remote control buttons on the touchscreens are missing certain buttons found on the original physical remote control, leaving me with no way to use those functions. My Roku driver is the only one I have seen that has the specific buttons that are on a physical Roku remote, are labeled correctly, and have no extra unused buttons. This tells me the remote control screens are customizable in some fashion, but I can't figure out any way to do it. For my Zappiti media player, for instance, I need an "NLS" button but I do not need an "Eject" button. Is there any way to rename the eject button "NLS" and program it to perform the actual NLS function? I would prefer to customize all of my remote control buttons for the touchscreens for each source, to not only add the Lumagen buttons that are used for all sources, but to clean up and get rid of unused buttons, for a custom remote screen that looks like the Roku buttons for that device. I searched for a driver that would allow me to do this but haven't found anything. I hope there is some workaround and some way to do this as I have just invested several thousand dollars in this system and it isn't even fully set up yet. I just assumed this would be an easy thing to do so I didn't look into it when deciding between Crestron and Control4. Any help in figuring out what I can do here would be much appreciated. I'm more than willing to pay for a programmer's time if there is any way to do this manually or even create a driver that will do this. Thanks.
  20. I was able to speak with the person at StormAudio that created the C4 driver. He admitted that he did not try the Announcement function when creating the driver, but also reported that there were no issues on his end and couldn't reproduce the issue. So at this point, I think I've missed something, somewhere, or my dealer has missed something, somewhere. He's not well versed on things like this, so I'm afraid I'm on my own at this point. I only have Composer HE, but knowing the limitations I have with HE, and that I'm not trained on using it other than just messing around with it, would you kindly tell me what exactly to look for as far as setting up the StormAudio's inputs, bindings, settings, etc and maybe give me an idea as to how I can just start over? I think making a new Announcement for testing purposes is a good place to start, and just did that, but got the same results. But since it's just a test, I'm not worried about messing it up or trying the wrong thing and can easily delete it. Since there isn't much to creating an Announcement, I don't "think" I could have screwed that part up, but like you said, I think it's got something to do with the inputs and how they are set up, but I don't even know where to look for that or if I have access to that with Composer HE. Any further advice or suggestions would be much appreciated.
  21. Hoping for any other suggestions. Made sure volume was turned all the way up on the device and in Composer through the Announcement Agent, but volume is so low I have to put the tablet up to my ears to hear it. When communicating via Intercom, it's plenty loud, so it's not a problem with the device itself. I would greatly appreciate any other thoughts or suggestions on this matter as I don't know where to turn at this point. Thanks.
  22. Well, StormAudio was no help and basically said contact my dealer. My dealer has never had this happen and doesn't know what to do, so at this point, I don't know what else to do. This is something that just "has" to work and should work without fail and without any solution or tweaking needed from what I understand. Any other suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  23. Does anyone have any other suggestions? It only does this on my one T4 and I have the volume all the way up, but Intercom works fine, and is very loud, so it is not the speakers themselves.
  24. Hi Bill, I'd greatly appreciate any follow up information you are able to provide. Thanks.
  25. It's a certified driver and comes directly from StormAudio.
