ekohn00
Hi all, I need some help with what I can imagine is a typical problem. I have a 10yo that doesn't ever turn off his lights, so I decided to have a rolling black out for him. The recessed lights are connected to a C4 dimmer switch. I would like to have it so when turned on, they would set a countdown for X minutes, then turn off. I tried to so this, similar to bathroom fans or fireplace switch, but when I programmed the reset/start with the dimmer push, I could not get the lights to turn on. I'm sure I'm missing something simple. Thanks for the help, in advance.

ekohn00
Not sure why, But this didn't work. When pressing the top button lights come on. Then you release, and they go off. For some reason the reset timer is turning the light off.
mstafford388
If you happen to have the new dimmers on 2.6 there is now auto off timers in the properties of the dimmer.

Godzilla
sounds like you have it set to turn off instead of starting or resetting the timer at release
Cyknight
or turn off the lights on start instead of expire.
