ashwinmj
An 2019 LG TV has been integrated using the Control4 driver (uses IP control). All mini apps were loading quick initially. Over the course of the installation, the TV was factory reset a few times and the driver was re-paired with the TV. Now we're noticing that after launching any mini app, it takes around 30-45 seconds for the app to actually load on the TV. If instead the original LG remote is used instead to launch say Netflix, it's quick (the remote has a dedicated Netflix button). We're not sure if this problem started right after re-pairing the TV on a factory reset of the TV or if it happened at some other time as the Control4 installation progressed. Does anyone have any idea of how to fix this? Thanks for your help.
Cyknight
Have you tried deleting the driver, and adding and setting up from scratch?
ashwinmj
Thanks @Cyknight. We had tried updating the driver, but not setting it up from scratch. The slow response of mini apps on the TV has been happening for over a week now, but surprisingly after your message yesterday it's been working fine! Since nothing had been done to fix it, I assume it'll start happening again soon. When it does, we'll try setting up the TV from scratch as you'd recommended. Cyknight
If it returns, it's worth a shot, as it could be somme sort of weird internal connection issue - I've had something similar before on what I believe was an LG as well - in that case the T was replaced under warranty (as in within the week so identical model)
ashwinmj
@Cyknight definitely! I hope it returns and your recommendation works, because I'm more skeptical of a problem that goes away on its own. The issue you faced before - was it from the time you first set it up? In my case it worked fine for a couple of months, and then the problem suddenly started. I'm not sure if it was related to a few factory reset's of the TV that were done around the time this started or if the timing was just a coincidence. Cyknight
It worked on the origina TV, then stuttered after the TV was replaced unti redone fromm scratch
ashwinmj
Got it. Will definitely try this as the first step if the problem reappears.
