ajburnet
Hi all - I have suspect this may be a known issue but either way am hoping someone can assist. My HC-300c (running 2.1) routinely (as in always!) loses the Navigator screen and shows a black screen. Re-booting or restarting the Navigator service brings it back up (athough it disappears again).Any thoughts on a fix? I'm going to try a restore but before I do thought I'd see if there is a quicker fix. Obviously frustrating! Thanks all,Alex.
Godzilla
Your screen saver is probably set to blank, if you always want it there you can set it to none, but I would think if you hit the 4 button it should pop up, I could be wrong, as I always have set mine to none...... ajburnet
Thanks. Yes, I did think that originally but hitting the 4 button doesn't wake it up (and the remote is identified and set to the right room!).Will try removing the screen saver anyway.Thanks,Gizmo. ILoveC4
Disabling the screen saver is still the right fix (if that is indeed the problem) but hitting the button twice should wake it up.
LSDave
ive had this happen on 2 customers controllers with no screen saver set. A power cycle fixed both of them and have not had an issue since.both systems were on 2.1.1 hopefully this doesnt happen in 2.
ajburnet
Hitting 4 twice doesn't bring it up. I'll try a restore and go from there. Fingers crossed!!

Fingers crossed!!Don't do a full restore, otherwise you will need to reload your entire system, and potentially upgrade it.
ajburnet
Not worried about reloading so restored and re-upgraded last night (very little config on it at this stage). Will report back if the problem persists.
ajburnet
Hmm, successfully restored and upgraded back to 2.1.1 but no change with the black screen issue. Also, while the remote is identified and registered (you can see the device details in Composer) the direction buttons don't move the curse on navigator (when it's briefly there). When you click Listen it does move the box (i.e. select) 'Listen' on-screen.I wonder if there is something else going on here!!Mystery!!
RyanE
It could be that your on-screen binding and/or your controller's binding to the TV is not correct.RyanE
ajburnet
How would I know? The binding is the component out to the TV component in, is there possibly some basic step I've missed!?Thanks!
ajburnet
Sorted - weird but it looks like removing the zigbee mesh and re-creating has fixed the issue, now all buttons work and it was the screen saver after all! Thanks to all!!
