Anyone have a reccomendation for a 16 Port Network Switch that has the PORTS in the REAR and Lights on the FRONT?

The Crestron CEN-SWPOE-16 does what you are asking.

Here are a few of the features

Also supports PoE+ (802.3at Type 2) powered devices

Provides up to 34.2W per port, 255W total

PoE switchable per port via a control system

Auto-negotiating and auto MDI/MDIX

Layer 2 managed switching functionality

Port configuration settings for speed and duplex

LLDP (Link Layer Discovery Protocol) support

Port mirroring capability

32 Gbps switching fabric (non-blocking)

Configured via simple-to-use Web browser interface

Customizable front panel labeling

AV friendly, single-space rack-mount design

I have one pakedge on a rack that is pretty visible. I wouldn't buy them for all over the house, but I don't see much wrong with them either. But yeah, it is kind of silly to have a CI version of a switch when many CI's that sell them don't know anything about programming a switch.

Honestly they aren't bad but your paying to have it set up to be CI friendly. That is it come ore configured with a bunch of vlans. I'm not a fan of how they do it but for folks who don't know how to properly set up a network it's helpful, ie CI's.

Go Cisco, Dell, or Netgear and call it a day. These are all proven performers and price vs feature/performance they will all be better values.
