bigdaddyo811
I have an exercise room with TV supplied by C4 as well as speakers from a 8 zone amp.I want to work out with bluetooth headphones so the rest of the house is not disturbed. Is there any way to hook that up? Cyknight
Done lots, but either you need a matrix switch with a free output OR hdmi to the TV.From a C4 standpoint you'd create a second room if you want to continue to use speakers as an option and call it something along the lines of "Exercise - Headset", bind whatever feeds the headphones as the audio and volume end-points and bind the same TV as the video endpoint. zariaman
what bluetooth hardware have you used that worked well with this?
Cyknight
For clients I've to date provided Sennheiser units primarily (RS-220 or MM 500-X) but these are ... pricey. We've done some of the more basic Sennheisers as well and have one client (a company fitness room!) that is very happy using the JayBird Sportsband one each for each piece of equipment plus some general use "floor" ones (that's 16 - a full C4 Matrix worth of them )When using a bluetooth set we've used both the Motorola (DC800 - believe this is the one used in the mentioned fitness room, yes 16 of them) and Sony (HWS-BTA2W) Bluetooth transmitters without issues. Those two would however allow you to connect whatever bluetooth set you like to them - true headphones, or your earpiece.Do note that using a bluetooth adapter like these can throw off the synch ever so slightly. I doubt most would ever notice it unless the speakers are on at the same time however. If you want wireless headphones for movie/tv enjoyment without bothering others, spend a bit on a good RF transmitter/headphone set vs a more universal device like those bluetooth transmitters.
