whouston
Hi All - Just received a HC250 from a contact. He didn't have a power supply/cord, so I need to get a new one. Question is does the HC250 have just a cord, or does it have an external power supply? I can see from a spec sheet that it is an IEC 320 power cord, but it says "for use with DC power supply (provided)". However, the Control4 site says that the power supply is internal. Can someone please look at their 250 and tell me if it's just a cord or whether I need an external power supply? In either case, and further details, markings, product numbers, etc would be very helpful. Sincerely appreciate the help in advance. Cyknight
It's a 110~240v cord, there is no external power supply - it however is a not all that common connection, generally used on laptop powersupplies - if you're looking for one a electronics or computer specialty store (so not best buy) is you best bet. Or online of course.
thecodeman
Alternatively, you can power it with PoE.

Cyknight
Take care with PoE tough - there's some specific limitations on the HC250 than mean not nearly all switches or even inserters work.
ichbinbose
I completely agree with Cyknight, and that I would use POE as a last resort due to the very specific limitations.
