Nehsmit
I just installed an adaptive phase dimmer on a chandelier that has 2 bulb sockets. I put 2 150w equivalent cfl bulbs. They are on but theres a flicker that is totally annoying. The whole reason i changed from the original dimmers to this is because of this issue. Any thoughts? I need atleast 250w for the area to be bright enough. I searched everywhere for LED 150 w equivalent NON SPOTLIGHT bulbs but cant find those. Thanks in advance. cdepaola
That's a LOT of light what kind of area are you lighting? Just curious... If you put a non C4 dimmer or switch on the chandelier does it still flicker? This is where I'd start if you haven't. I use the 150w equicalent CFL blubs in my garage and I know they are non-dimmable. So stupid question, please don't be offended, but are they dimmable bulbs? Nehsmit
Lol. No offense taken--i had asked the wife to get the bulbs and sure enough they are non-dimmable. I just asked her and she said they didnt have greater than 100w dimmable cfl bulbs. So thank you for that. Do you know if they make the 150w dimmables? cdepaola
Not that I've found, doesn't mean it doesn't exist but I haven't seen them. May I suggest a new chandelier with a greater bulb count so you can get to your desired brightness with smaller bulbs that are dimmable.
Cyknight
I've seen 150w equivalent dimmable at HomeD and others at times, but not often and more expensive than an average chandelier (and some non average ones) - but they do exist.
