CFUG
I cannot locate my instructions for enable power sensing on an outlet switch. Can anyone lay hands on the *.pdf and post here? Or. simple instructions will do. Thanks
CFUG
Nevermind. Found it at one of the online resellers http://content.abt.com/documents/35346/loz5s1w_ins.pdf
CFUG
I must be a complete idiot. Cannot find any programming related to power sense in Composer. Only Light ON/OFF state. What I need is the ability to turn a device with no power state feedback (only power toggle) into something I can actually control with some logic. The device in question doesn't relate to AV at all. Do I still start with such a device driver then strip-off all but the power management?
RyanE
That's probably the easiest route, start with an AV device that uses power sensing, then only use the power on / off commands. If that doesn't work, likely the easiest route is to use a power sensor, and plug it's output into a contact input. Something like this would work, although a form factor that plugs in and provides a plug for the equipment would be more handy: http://www.airotronics.com/site/product-currentsensor_CS.phporhttp://www.nktechnologies.com/current-sensing-switch/as1dodc-current-switch.html AMX has a plug-in version that would likely be easiest, but probably not cheapest or easiest to obtain: http://www.amx.com/products/PCS2.asp RyanE
CFUG
I'm getting the feeling that programming off of power sensing is either a LOZ-V2 feature and/or 2.5 (new driver) and up? It is not obvious to me that connections from the basic LOZ outlet driver and a custom (AV) power sensing type driver can be made. Only "outlet lights" show as available connection endpoints. RyanE
Unfortunately, I haven't used the Outlet Switch for power sensing, so I don't know. Sorry. RyanE
lippavisual
Try this doc from the knowledgebase. It's a little more clear in terms of direction.
CFUG
^Thanks! Helps considerably. Been using outlets for years and never needed sensing. Works well. Had to turn-down on the settling time to get rid of some flutter but after that, I like what it does.
lippavisual
No problem. Glad it worked out.
