Minisoda_c4
I realize I'm probably asking this to a very skewed audience, BUT I'll ask anyway... No need to share any hard numbers but directionally if I were able to purchase a C4 system at full MSRP vs. Crestron at dealer cost, would the overall spend be about a wash? I know it's hard to estimate, but just curious directionally how this might work out. I'll be doing: 1. Video distribution (8x8)2. Whole home audio to 8 zones with Sonos Connect on the backend3. Lighting4. Security Thanks! Aaron
Cyknight
You'd likely still pay more for Crestron. If you're hiring someone to program it...it'll likely be quite a bit more.
alanchow
Crestron's hardware is actually quite reasonably priced. Most of the pricing in Crestron is in the programming labour as everything is done from scratch. most Crestron integrators have templates that they have developed over time to make the process easier but you'll still find it to be alot more expensive than Control4. Having said that though what you are trying to achieve is pretty simple and would be easy to do in Control4. If however you plan on doing specialised things that require a custom UI than Crestron is probably the way to go.
