smarch Posted April 27, 2015 Share Posted April 27, 2015 So I have some foscams in my system. They work great on my android phone when I'm at home using the C4 app. I'm on version 2.6. My c4 app works great for all other purposes when I'm away from home (cel network). Lights, door locks, thermostats etc, except the cameras will not show a picture. Any ideas? smarch Posted April 27, 2015 Author Share Posted April 27, 2015 Just wanted to add that this also does NOT work with my 4sight through a computer. it did for a short while, but I just tried and it does not any more. It works from the foscam app on my phone, or when I log into my cameras directly on a computer (not through C4) outside of my home network, at work for instance. smarch Posted April 28, 2015 Author Share Posted April 28, 2015 Yes the remote access is enabled. It works great with the foscam app on my phone from anywhere. This is using a DNS. At home it's setup that control4 uses the local ip address. Works great at home. Not sure other than that how the network is setup. Weird thing is it works at home on everything (ipad, android phone tv etc). Outside of home it only works on ipad. Not computer or android phone. Although the foscam app on the phone works great. I would recommend putting the DynDNS name in the driver and then checking the enable remote access in the driver. What version c4 are you running?
