Streaming links/using lesser known apps with C4

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I just got an HC-250 installed and I'm really loving it so far. One thing I would like to have is a clean solution for streaming music from lesser known sites/apps (Soundcloud, Mixcloud, Mixlr, etc.). I have a Vilso Kodi box integrated, but the IR cortrol is awful and the integrator could not find an IP driver. I figure this is my best solution if I can ever get it sorted, but I'm curious if anyone else is doing something similar and can provide some info. Thanks!

Thanks for the suggestions. I have an Apple TV hooked into the system. I didn't know that I could use Airplay from my phone on apps that didn't have the Airplay icon. I just discovered the swipe up Airplay button so problem solved! I would still like a cleaner solution that doesn't involve streaming off my phone, but it's a minor issue now. Thanks again

We have two ip drivers for kodi.

Kodi lite - http://www.c4forums.com/topic/16085-chowmain-kodi-lite-xbmc-driver-for-control4/?view=getnewpost

Kodi full (will be released shortly) - http://www.c4forums.com/topic/17630-chowmain-kodi-full-xbmc-driver-for-control4/?view=getnewpost

Kodi full supports navigation of media on Kodi and the Internet on all Control4 user interfaces. It supports addons though some addons are not designed to be browsed on 3rd party interfaces and as such is incompatible.

Both drivers support automatically turning the room on for AirPlay video and audio content and room off when the screensaver kicks in amongst other cool features (see links provided above for specifics)
