Intellisol
HiJust wondering if any of you can think of a workaround to the following problem.I'm recommending that a client should purchase the control4 multi channel amp for all stereo inputs and multi zones and also purchase a receiver/amp for the tv room capable of 7.1.The problem I have is to make one set of speakers work with both amps, so if they are watching a movie then use the additional receiver/amp for 7.1 and if they are listening to music then use the control4 amp.As far as I can see this wouldn't be a problem if the control4 amp had pre-out.Any help would be most appreciated as this has me stumpedThanks Andrew
AS2
use this piece:http://www.nilesaudio.com/product.php?prodID=SPK-1&recordID=Automated%20Switching%20Systems&categoryID=Automated%20Switching%20Systems&catcdID=10&prdcdID=FG00240orhttp://www.nilesaudio.com/product.php?prodID=SAS-1&recordID=Automated%20Switching%20Systems&categoryID=Automated%20Switching%20Systems&catcdID=10&prdcdID=FG00230use the Control4 relays to switch to the amplifier you want to use when the room is set to a 7.1 source or when the room is set to a stereo source. Intellisol
Andrew Thanks for those ideas will read through tonight. May have to get back to you on the Control4 relays as I haven't had the pleasure of setting these up yet.CheersAndrew
cshepard
I have a similar situation in a system I'm working on, except I'm using the C4 audio matrix. Can I just come line level out of the matrix into a free input on the 7.1 receiver? The receiver will be the only amp powering the speakers in this zone.
