SteinyD
Sorry, didn't pull the trigger on C4 just yet ... part of a renovation being planned as we speak. I will report how it works however, with my ReadyNAS NV+ and a variety of content.Let us know how it works with C4!
ILoveC4
I'm jealous. That being said, I am going to wait to hear a few opinions and reviews of how it works with C4 prior to my "laying down the plastic" :cool:Congratulations man...let us know how it works out. SteinyD
Would seem to be. Funny, I alerted a colleague who is also interested in this device that I had received it. I asked him if he were one of those geek junkies that had to see the 'unboxing' photos. He laughed and said, no. I came back to this thread to see if anyone responded to my posting and sure enough, there are junkies amongst us - and I obliged! To the person that wanted the photos, let me know if you want to see the hard drive naked (without its mounting bracket) or its backside ... nice, that's like nerd porn or something

sjj31a
Mine arrived yesterday but on vacation... Will be comparing performance head to head with the eva8000 and popcorn hour in my install when I get back ( Easter) and will post it will be interesting have seen some files that freeze on eva8000 but work fine in popcorn I'll be impressed if it is flexible as popcorn but integrates like the 8000. slemay
That's what I've heard too - flexible as popcorn - integrates like the 8000. We've got both here - and love the PCH except that it doesn't integrate with C4. So if the EVA 9150 is the PCH plus it integrates with C4 - then we'll be loving this device. Ditto what you guys said too - I'm about to leave on a business trip that turns into a vacation - and mine is currently en route - so I won't know how it works for 2 weeks! Oh well... Rest of you guys can tell me how it goes!
bog
1. Can it be bought and work without a HDD? (I would like to keep the content on my NAS).2. How does it manage movies and TV shows? Does it retrieve media info from meta tags or does it try to parse the file name and look it up online? (I'd love to see screenshots of the UI... especially browsing and navigating video and music content). As I understand it, C4 handles all the media management. Where are some video demos or screenshots of C4 media management and navigation? How does C4 retrieve media info?
ILoveC4
Control4 handles it just like it handles dvd's.
