henniae Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 The HC200 would do very well in this application. You should be able to control everything you mentioned. The iPhone app would work too.
thecodeman Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 Yes, as Alan said, your HC200 will be fine. You didnt have to yell
ILoveC4 Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 Man, why do people capitolize every letter. Is it possible for the HC200 to be used on its own, or does it need to be a slave?
dogdvr Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 The HC200 can be used alone, but if you go to two controllers you need at least an HC300 as the master. So, First purchase can be an hc200 but the second needs to be a 300, after that you can add on more 200'sThis is Basic info, your site may varyBrent
ILoveC4 Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 your site may varyHuh?I am actually remembering now. I knew there was a limitation, thanks for the refresher.
ILoveC4 Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 So Where Can I Buy One AtDo you mean: "So where can I buy one at?"?You can buy one from any dealer. If you're a risk taker and want to chance it then watch eBay.You can go to www.control4.com to find a dealer in your area.
RyanE Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 I don't suggest getting it on eBay as ComposerPro is required to set it up, and it's only available to dealers.RyanE
ILoveC4 Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 What RyanE says is true. That is why I said if your a risk taker.eBay = no warranty and no support.Hence the term "risk taker".
CFUG Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 From one fish keeper to another, take a look at Octopus, Neptune, Profilux or a other dedicated controllers for aquaria. No offense at C4 but the number of controllable parameters may exceed your budget as opposed to a dedicated micro with companion transducers.Of course, I am assuming you will want more than light control later.
GP1890 Posted April 9, 2009 Author Posted April 9, 2009 Well I Found One On Ebay Is There Some Kind Of Expensive Software To Program It And How Much Would That Cost Me.i Know The Physical Setup And Wiring Is Simple I No It Is The Programming That Requires Help.
thecodeman Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 What, a controller? That requires software only available to dealers.
ILoveC4 Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 As mentioned above, you will need a dealer to program this for you. You can find a dealer by visiting www.control4.com.Enjoy your new setup.
