Depending on your use case I'd be mindful about how devices can drop off the network now and then. You might be better off with some other ore stable event indicator. Absolutely. Basically I took a Lutron lamp dimmer module that I wasn’t using and assigned it to be my Home/away trigger. When I leave, HomeKit turns off that switch, which I programmed to trigger away in Control4. The opposite happens when I come home. HomeKit turns that switch on, which activate my C4 home routine.
