AV Expression
Hi there,I am wanting to place all the dimmers and switches for a C4 system in a cupboard in the garage. We have around 50-60 dimmers and switches for the lighting system.Just wondering how many dimmers and switches can be placed together in one place without them causing interference with each other?Cheers,Muzzi

RyanE
I wouldn't suggest putting more than 20-30 in one location, but I would think interference should not be the biggest of your concerns.Garages are not known for being temperature-controlled, and if you live somewhere that the garage can get hot, you may experience higher failure rates of *any* electronics, Control4 dimmers included.Unless it's temperature controlled, I would definitely recommend against it.RyanE
CFUG
yeah, don't break off the heat fins!!
lippavisual
Actually, I believe the "best practice" is to not have more than 15 zigbee nodes in one location. You could certainly do more if you split them up to different zigbee channels, but YMMV.Please correct me if I'm wrong.
RyanE
You're probably right. I haven't ever done that, so I wouldn't pay much attention to what the best practices docs would say on the subject.RyanE
