David777
I have just been told I require interim upgrades as I am far behind: 2.8.2 to 2.9.0 to 2.10.6 to 3.1.

And I don't need to do all the interim upgrades but you have to do 2.8.2 to at least 2.9.1 to 3.1.0. But I haven't had much luck upgrading from 2.8.2 to 2.10.6 SO I felt more comfortable adding that interim one. But @Matt Lowe feel free. this is an upgrade I rather not do. David777
A person who has the exact setup as me told me he did it that way: [25/10, 11:25] We are on 3.1, although we did upgrade one at a time as and when each version came out [25/10, 11:26] But 3.1 is fully compatible with our set up [25/10, 11:29] Each upgrade takes 10 minutes, plus around 20 minutes for everything to boot up and the light switches to start working again
3D - Benn
tbh - In terms of time and cost it's little relevance "how many" updates you need to bring you up to 3.1 or how long it takes for the actual update to download & apply. It's entirely dependant on the compatibility and functionality of drivers and testing after the update has been carried out to make sure it's fully functional on the new OS. David777
The setup of my system is very simple. Lutron light switches and one audio matrix. No video sources, no alarms, no doorstations, ... I am still looking for someone to do the job.
David777
I got only one quote so far. No one else wants to do the job ?
