Sprinky216
Hi all, Just added Roku Express to all my TVs and watch “cable” via the Spectrum app within Roku. My dealer is working very hard to get the C4 remote to work as I want or as it did when I had regular cable. Buttons I’m having issues with include: channel up/down guide pushing a number on C4 remote will not change to that channel I fully understand that some of this may not be possible, but just wanted to reach out and see if you guys have any answers. Thanks in advance!
chopedogg88
Do they work with the roku remote? Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
chopedogg88
Most likely this is just the fact that you are now using the spectrum app which doesn't support those buttons, and not a c4 issue. Sprinky216
I realize it’s not a C4 issue. The buttons are not available on the Roku remote which is why I’m sure there is no programming. Just checking to see if anyone created anything. Matt Lowe
this is the issue with streaming tv apps in some cases. you are limited to the functions that the app supports.
msgreenf
but what are you nav issues? I use this app on my roku and via control4 without issue?
Sprinky216
Problems listed in my original post.
chopedogg88
Sure would be nice if all these streaming TV apps supported channel up/down, guide, etc. Would speed up adoption big time. But they seem to have no concept of channel numbers which is at the heart of the problem. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
msgreenf
Exactly. This is the number one draw back imho of every cord cutting service
-defunct-
And that's where using the content creator's app comes in. I use my xfinity subscription to watch the shows on each of the apps. i.e. CBS, History, etc.
