bilottag
Hi. New here. Great forum.I just had a c4 system installed. 300GB HDD FAT32 formatted attached via USB to hc300.Added about 10gb of mp3 music. Problem is, when I try to play some of the mp3s via touchscreen (digital music), after a few seconds, I get the message in the bottom corner saying "Unable to play selected media".I know the mp3 files are good cuz I can play them fine on my pc.Any suggestions...am I missing something.BTW, none of the mp3 are encoded at greater than 320kbps.Thanks in advance. Matt
Control4 supports MPEG-I layer 3 encoded MP3 Files, they have to be encoded anywhere between 32-320 kbits/sec with CBR (Constant Bit Rate) or VBR (Variable Bit Rate). Please note, that layer 2 or MPEG II is not supported. So now the question is, how are you ripping the CD’s?

neildilgee
Why don't you just reencode everything again to mp3 but to the same format and I'm sure you'll be able to give us the answer.
bilottag
OK. So I deleted all the mp3s from the hard drive and re-loaded with composer 1.73ME. All was good for a while. Then all of a sudden mp3s which would play fine will no longer play. I get the message in the bottom left corner of my 4" colour touchscreens "Uanble to pay selected media".My question is why? You were able to play selected media before. Why not now?
ILoveC4
Where is the music located? If they're on network shares, are the shares online?
