Hugo Kwok Posted October 22, 2021 Share Posted October 22, 2021 Hi All, I purchased a Control4 8x8 HDMI Matrix model number C4-8ZVMS-B from ebay at low cost. However I just realized that it is not easy to control it without the entire Control4 eco-system. I just wonder if there are any simple solution to just control the matrix switch ? To clarify, I am not looking a "simple solution" but just anything possible without purchasing additional Control4 product. However, this simple wishes it not quite feasible. I had a look at these some time ago myself because i wanted to use them with other control systems. I dropped the idea because especially these matrixes are really hard to control and the API is not open. Cyknight Posted October 25, 2021 Share Posted October 25, 2021 Just want to clarify, the C4 HDMI linked is the OLD switch - later LU series switches have a serial port for control, and the serial codes are published, so those could be controlled 3rd party.
