Speaker Switches

I wouldn't call it common, but it's hardly unheard of.

The primary setup we've used them for is to use ceiling speakers in a 5.1 or 7.1 setup for open concept rooms to be used for audio using distribution amps.

For example, having a 7.1 living room on a surround amplifier for when watching movies, but as the living room is open to kitchen and dinging areas, use a speaker switch to feed a C4 amp zone to the four ceiling mounted ceiling speakers for when music is played across the zones (to ensure 100% sync).

Precise use case @Cyknight.  Do you have a preference for brand/model line?
