adam333
I'm on my 3rd axxis garage door sensor. The first 2 the batteries leaked on the circuitry. The 3rd I hard wired into a 3v transformer. now this is acting up. Can I use any old contact sensor that integrates with c4?
LollerAgent
Yes. I have these on three garage doors for 2+ years now with no issues: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005H3GCW0/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 But - they are hardwired (I have CAT6 to sensor locations). adam333
Yes I have those same things. they feed into my axxis wireless relay sensor. its the axxis that is screwing up.
TFlury
We hard wire garage door sensors and or wire them into Z2IOs when we can get a home run wire. Here is a link for the sensor we use. Never had any issues in either configuration. https://www.adiglobaldistribution.us/Product/0E-DC4811

Ah - yeah, if you don't have homeruns back to a C4 controller, maybe try using a Z2IO?
zaphod
The problem is that you may need one Z2IO for each garage door if you want both a sensor and relay for each door. Or two sensors and a relay for each door. And according to the spec sheet the operating range is 0C to 40C (32F-104F). If that is really the case then I don't know that you can use them in a garage anywhere in North America as you will regularly get temperatures outside of that range pretty much every place other than maybe San Diego. Here is the spec sheet:
