Cyknight
Meh, IP control has seen it's share of issues, and that on almost all product lines (receivers TVs, media players of any sort...). By and large Sony is fine, LG is fine as is for that matter Samsung IF you simply reserve/set to static the IP and use the IP to identify it. Samsung's biggest issue is the network card not (consistently) waking up after a power outage and the need to manually turn on the TV (button on TV or on a remote) once after that. Yes currently, ironically almost, cheap Roku TVs are the most rock solid. The problem is that most cheap TV manufacturers (and thus the brand names they've bought) are inconsistent, and the issue with android TVs is simply that there's no good driver or perhaps API - if the former most likely because androidtv is such a fast changing environment and because it's open (and just constantly edited)
