alanchow Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 Overview Chowmain releases Polyaire Airtouch 5 driver for Control4. The Polyaire AirTouch 5 is the 5th Generation of their flagship air conditioning controller that is as smart as it looks. AirTouch 5 features a new interface designed to make managing up to 16 VRF (variable refrigerant flow) units in commercial or residential buildings easy, attractive and enjoyable. AirTouch helps deliver comfort by sending cooled or heated air where you want it, and shut off unused areas enabling your system to reach the set point temperature where it is needed faster, and more economically. It allows you to adjust the airflow going into each room in small increments or even change the temperature throughout the house or in specific areas. Integration to Control4 allows you to integrate the systems and zones managed by the Airtouch5 for seamless operation. Driver Features Two way IP Control Control of up to all 8 AC units Temperature feedback, HVAC mode, Setpoint and Fan contro Control of up to 16 zones Control of zone air flow Control of zone powe Control of zone setpoints (if available) FAQ My Airtouch5 system has multiple AC's connected to it. Does your driver support multi air conditioner units Yes our driver will support the same number of ACs that the Airtouch supports. You need to add a driver for each AC you want to control. All available zones are available in the Extras section of each driver. If you have two AC units with 3 zones on the first AC and 4 on the second AC, you can see all 7 in both drivers. What models will this work for? This driver has been tested with Airtouch5 Console model 1.1.1 however, it should work with console version 1.0.3 and above How do I find the IP address of the Airtouch5? To see the IP address of the console, go to Settings > Options click the button with your access point name in it > click SEE MORE > Select Wi-Fi > click the connected Wi-Fi name > Advanced section and scroll down to the bottom of the page Where are all the zones in your driver? We expose the zones through the extras tab in the C4 UI Can I program the zones from the Programming section? Yes you can. As this section cannot be dynamically built, you need to make sure that you've selected a valid ZONE and VALUE for the control type. If the zone is controlled by temperature, you have to select a valid temperature value. I want to try this driver out before buying it? All Chowmain drivers for Control4 come with a 90 day trial.
