3fingerbrown
I have an extra solid state drive so it got me thinking. The 1000 is pretty noisy. I store nothing on the drive except my project, so space isn't an issue. Would it be a pain to swap the drive and transfer the data? Thanks. paulstevens
The noise is due to the fans, not the hard drive. Opening up the product, though, would void the warranty.
ILoveC4
Just give the drive to me...I'll even come pick it up. That will be a much easier way to dispose of it =D
thecodeman
It's a waste of an SSD if you dont store music or photos. The project is already stored on a flash like device.
Kahn
I doubt the drive would be recognized by the mainboard anyway...
RyanE
I suspect it would. It'd just be a standard SATA/ATA connection. You'd have to format it properly, but I think it'd work fine. The OS is stored on a built-in Flash drive, the spinning media is just for data storage.Still, as mentioned before, not necessarily that useful.RyanE
