  1. Hey guys, I'm having some issues with my C4 thermostats. I'm sure it's a setting that I have wrong, so I'm hoping someone can help me out as I'm new to these thermostats. So...a little background I guess. We've been having issues with keeping the new house cool. We'll set the t-stat to 74, and before you know it the inside temp is 81 degrees! I've had my HVAC beating his head against the wall trying all sorts of things, and he kept being suspicious of the C4 thermostat. Finally as a last ditch effort he pulled on of the the C4 thermostats off the wall and put in some cheap thermostat he had in his truck. That thermostat adequately cools the house, so I know that my HVAC system isn't the issue. Anybody have any suggestions as to what all these settings should be so I can keep the house cool during these hot days (~100 degrees)? Please see the screenshot below, and thanks in advance.
  2. Well, it's a Driver Works driver, but I actually found a copy in a system restore file from after my PC crashed...it recovered some files and that was one if them. Thanks guys!
  3. I don't know why I didn't realize that was an option earlier. I'm not at a PC now but will try that later.
  4. The driver is in my current project. I just don't know how to lift the driver from the project. Does that make sense?
  5. I have a driver that I added in my project long ago. I want to add it to another project of mine, but I no longer have the driver. I can't seem to find any way to extract the driver from within my project?! It isn't in the My Documents\User\Control4\Drivers folder. I can't find it anywhere (other than in the project in Composer). Is there a way to "extract" the driver so I can add it to my other project?
  6. The new one is a glass/hard screen, like an iPad. The old touchpanels are the traditional touch LCD that is somewhat soft and dull looking when not lit up. I haven't taxed the battery on the new one yet. The new screen is much brighter, but I never complained about the old one until I saw the new one. You can view them all at plenty wide an angle...but on the old one the screen is recessed a little bit.
  7. I've heard those same complaints, but have two of them and love them. I also have the new one and like it considerably more.
  8. You can upgrade them with an old controller. Try pushing the top left button 13 times, the bottom left button 4 times, then the top left button 13 times. Let us know what happens.
  9. How many TV's do you have? I was thinking of running audio from each TV back to the rack and taking some time to program it correctly. That's what I would do in my home. I have distributed audio and video. You just need to make sure you have enough inputs.
  10. +1...this is easy to do if you have a CAT5 available. I agree that it would be nice for the Control4 Audio Matrix to have the ability to introduce an audio delay, but as you have discovered it doesn't.
  11. I don't have a Control4 T-Stat, I don't know much about them. I have zone system and haven't ponied up for the SAM. In the time I was typing my post (complete with distractions and a conference call) all those other posts came in. I guess just disregard what I said.
  12. What's R323? Do you mean RS-232? Here's how heating and cooling systems work here (at least how I see it). If you have a furnace a forced air, the furnace is used to push all the air through the house, both hot and cold. The air conditioning unit sits outside, and is wired to the furnace. The furnace is wired to a thermostat, which can call for hot or cold air. If you want to integrate with COntrol4 you replace your current thermostat with Control4's. Hopefully that makes sense.
  13. You just need a Control4 thermostat.
  14. It would really benefit your to read the thread in its entirity dogdvr. Here's a quote from post #16:
  15. Usurp, are you in the USA? That pricing is nuts for here, but Ihave seen similar pricing in Europe, Australia and Africa.
  16. Sounds like you better get X10...even though it sucks.
  17. Just curious, why do you keep importing your music?
  18. Just an FYI, RyanE is the one who wrote the driver.
  19. I agree that the SR250 is much nicer than the SR150. That is actually the reason I bought the HC300's over HC200's.
