  1. Hi all,

I have a strange issue with one of my cable boxes (it's a Rogers/Shaw 4K box in Canada, equivalent to Xfinity in the US).  We have two such boxes connected to a C4 matrix, exact same physical set up and driver, but we are only seeing issues with one.

Specifically, the "Menu" button on the CX4 remote/app only works intermittently (there is typically only a response 25% of the time or so when the Menu button is pressed).  When the box does respond, it sometimes pauses the TV when it brings up the Menu (i.e., Menu button seems to also trigger pause).  Within the Menu, the forward arrow will sometimes activate the fast forward (i.e., it scrolls through options but also triggers fast forward).

The native remote works properly.  We've tried relocating the box, re-setting the IR blaster and restarting the Controller, all to no avail.

    Any ideas?

Did you use Alexa to turn on the A/V devices? I mean it all depends on the device and if it can tell C4 it was turned on manually so really i am just asking does C4 know the a/v devices are on when you try to tell it to turn a room off?

My kids sometimes turn the TV's and stuff on manually and i have nothing polling or anything so C4 does not know they are on and if i tell Alexa to turn the room off.. C4 assumed the a/v stuff is already off so doesn't try.

    Just another thought.

For me the "room off" with the exception of what i just said does turn off my a/v in 117 so i am not sure what would really be different.

I have never used Alexa to turn on A/V, just turn off as part of Room Off.  Nothing has changed in my setup.  Sometime recently there was a change on the C4 side which broke this.

  3. The issue is the "Room Off" command.  I can use Alexa fine to turn and turn off audio/video if I specifically say "turn on" or "turn off" <specific device>.  But when I say, "Turn off the master bedroom" for example, it only turns off lights and not A/V.  It always used to execute the full "off" function (i.e., lights and A/V).  Nothing in my configuration has changed.

I'm not referring to any ALS's, etc.  I was referring to the standard Control4 "Room Off" command which turns off the AV in a room (versus lighting etc).  I thought that the integration covered that command natively.  I used it constantly when leaving a room (Alexa, turn off the kitchen) and the Television or Music would turn off.

This hasn't bene working for me for awhile either, and it used to - Room Off voice commands do not turn off the A/V.  I wasn't able to entirely follow the thread on this point - is v117 of the driver supposed to fix this or do I need to config on my end somehow?
