Still need drivers installed with pro. In vera there is a controller driver plus a river for each device

Would you be so kind to post a link of the right Zwave (like the one you using or better) controller so I can buy it. Very interested to get this going. If you don't mind.

To each their own. I haven't had any problems.

Experience buttons in control4 to control virtual vera devices like switches and dimmers. And in vera you have a scene that happens when the virtual device is manipulated to control the device that doesn't have a direct c4 driver

Man you going to make me buy this :) how would one control contact sensors like door and windows and blind motors?

Isn’t the C4 Vera driver only compatible with an older type of Vera hardware? Can’t realy remember but recall something like that? Be curious what you decide to do here ILoveC4.... value your opinions and decision making on this immensely ... W

I don't think I am going to pursue this. @sonic30101 not sure your experience of the devices, but what I read above it's hit and miss integration into C4 and when you can it's really basic interface.

I mean they have contact switches, blind controls etc but I don't think one can use it.

  4. I have been researching a lot of the ZWave devices. There is so many of them and really useful ones to. @sonic30101 was giving some really good advise on ZWave and mentioned the VeraPlus Advanced home controller as the interface between C4 and the ZWave devices.

The questions I have before I buy this device:

    1. Does it have a driver to C4 how does the VeraPlus intergrate to C4?
    2. What is the role of VeraPlus just an interface?
    3. Do you need a driver for each of the ZWave devices you add to the project?

    Would appreciate the guidance

  5. On the 260 issue, we've found that the Control4 does not transmit the % correctly to director.  The driver simply 'receives' the level from director then processes.  If we get incorrect data, we process incorrect data.  From testing we found that the 260's do not transmit their 'correct' % until you click on the driver in composer and wake up the remote.  This 'forces' the remote and director to re-sync.  We're testing some options as to how we can work around this.  Are your units battery or charger based?  All the other items (locks, shades, ca devices etc...) all correctly do what they are supposed to do from our testing.  It's just the SR remotes that we've seen this issue.

    Thanks!
    So:
    1. Only SR 260 all other devices are working
    2. Device is base station charged

    Interesting does C4 know this?
  6. Cinegration,
Is it possible to post the newest version of the driver so we can get it included?  The last version here was 1003 and you mentioned there was another change.  I don't see the new version anywhere...?
    Thank you!
    Don

Agree - mine doesnt auto update with the auto update agent. There also seems to be a bug I get a daily mail saying my 260 is at 19% when its not. It either fully charged or at 80% i have tested this over two weeks.

I am on 1003 paid version

Try this version.  So, Control4 decided to change the c4z file name of the card access devices (from cardacess_ to control4_).  I've updated this and added in Axxess.  Let me know.

Change log (has not been posted to houselogix server btw)

          Version 1003 (5.2017)

Added support for escaped characters in the name

Added extra verification of 0 or nil value variable returns.  Example: yale Doorlock initially transmits 0 level.  Driver will now wait 5 minutes then ask again. If it’s still 0, driver will notify user of low battery state

    Added support for these devices

    axxess_contactsensor.c4i
    axxess_motionsensor_MS-C4ZB-11.c4i
    axxess_doorbell_DB-C4ZB-11.c4i
    cardaccess_sensorbridge_ZGB20.c4i
    contact_cabridge_water.c4i
    contact_cabridge_micro_dws.c4i
    control4_wirelesscontact.c4i

    Thanks!

    battery_agent.c4z

    Can confirm:

The CardAccess wireless Contact, Axxess Contact Sensor, Axxess motion Sensor, Axxess DoorBell.

    Thank you!

What devices do you have that use batteries?  I thought we captured all of them but may have missed some of them.

    In my project: Obviously remotes.

    1. Card Access relay (with Temp)

    2. Axxess - Motion / humidity sensor

    3. Axxess - Door Bell

Thats all I can think for now - its just finding the Remotes.

  9. What's R323? Do you mean RS-232?

Here's how heating and cooling systems work here (at least how I see it).

If you have a furnace a forced air, the furnace is used to push all the air through the house, both hot and cold. The air conditioning unit sits outside, and is wired to the furnace. The furnace is wired to a thermostat, which can call for hot or cold air. If you want to integrate with COntrol4 you replace your current thermostat with Control4's.

    Hopefully that makes sense.

    Yup dyslexia :)

  10. Honestly, I would not go with a Control4 stat. There are many, many features on a typical split system that you won't be duplicating on a C4 stat. I own an LG 185 which is one of few that accept an external stat. That stat is less than the cost of C4 unit and duplicates over 15 functions.

Thanks so much for that information!!!

Does the LG 185 integrate into C4 can I use the C4 thermostat controls i.e. on the iPad does it update the temperature etc ??

    All about the integration ;)

  11. I don't know that's why I am asking these questions :)

I want to know what specifications I need to make sure the AC has so that I can buy the Thermostat and get the installer (AC installer) to hard wire the external thermostat to it.

Is that all - the AC needs to support an external thermostat?
